engine won't start Nissan 2

My Nissan won't start, and I've been sitting here wondering if it's the battery or maybe something with the fuel system. It's getting power to the lights, but when I turn the key, it just clicks once and then nothing. I noticed there's a slight smell of gas, so maybe it's flooded, or the ignition system is acting up. Hoping it's not a major issue with the starter or the engine control unit.
